INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITIES
We have activities in the store for people to enjoy when they come and visit. They include fine motor activities like lacing beads, coloring, gears, blocks and puzzles. While we have activities like weighted balls, swings and a sensory area to help with gross motor. Kids always love coming in to play with our toys and fidgets that are out and encouraged to play with.
GROUP ACTIVITIES
Every week we have a variety of group activities. On Saturday's we have "Little Puzzlers" which is a group that enjoys story time and enjoys story time and singing and dancing with Miss Kristen and Mr. Guitar. On Saturday afternoons we have a group of kids that come in and enjoy game time. Each week we play board games to help work on social interaction while having a great time. We also have a variety of events that range from mom's groups, music events, support group meetings and holiday parties. Please look at our calendar of events to see what is coming up.
FAMILY SERVICES
Jessica provides a variety of direct services to families that need additional assistance with their situations. Jessica is a trained ABA Therapist and often works with families to help improve academic performance, behavioral issues or assist in classroom advocacy.
IEP ADVOCACY
As a past school district employee Jessica has had experience with IEP's and has turned her knowledge into a resource for families as she continues to be an advocate for families as they work with the school to find the best care and education for their children.
ABA THERAPY
Jessica reinforces what is being taught in the classroom by utilizing her ABA Therapy background. ABA Therapy traditionally is a form of teaching that revolves around repetition. Jessica takes this approach to the next level by taking the same concept and applies it in multiple settings to ensure that concept is learned and not trained. It is an effective technique that she customizes to each child's situation to maximize the effectiveness.
BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION
Sometimes the need is not academic, but behavioral. Jessica also works with families to help with behavior modification. These are very situational services that are customized for families.
